Some places are worth returning to.
Not because they stayed the same.
Because we didn’t.

About Wine and Wheels IV
There was a time when the journey mattered just as much as the destination.
Before highways became the obvious choice, the most memorable drives unfolded on quiet roads that wound through forests, villages and rolling hills. Roads that invited you to slow down, lower the windows and simply enjoy being behind the wheel.
Wine and Wheels was born from that feeling.
Not from a desire to drive farther, but to drive differently.
For its fourth edition, we return to the heart of Romania’s wine country, following a carefully curated route through the vineyards of Dealu Mare. Along the way, we’ll pause where the scenery deserves our attention, rediscover roads that many have forgotten and let the landscape set the pace.
The day ends among the vines, around one long table, where local flavours, fine wine and familiar conversations become part of the journey itself.
Because some stories aren’t planned.
They’re gathered.

Schedule
Some roads are worth taking simply because they remind us why we fell in love with driving in the first place. This year’s journey follows the quiet roads of Dealu Mare, winding through forests, rolling hills and endless vineyards. Along the way, we’ll pause at carefully chosen regrouping points—not because we have to, but because some landscapes deserve a little more time.
Our destination is LacertA Winery, where the afternoon begins with a guided tour through the winery and the stories behind each bottle. Those staying overnight, together with our co-drivers, are invited to continue with a tasting of three carefully selected wines—white, rosé and red—while discovering the character of one of Romania’s most renowned wine regions.
As the afternoon slowly turns into evening, we’ll gather around a long table set among the vines. A seasonal menu, thoughtfully prepared by our chef, will accompany the wines, the conversations and the golden light of early autumn. No rush, no schedule to follow—just good food, good company and the simple pleasure of staying a little longer.
